Dr. T. Gordon Cort is a graduate of Howard University and a doctoral candidate of the University of St. Augustine. Since graduating in 1990, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of orthopedic physical therapy and has treated many patients with a variety of diagnoses. PTSMC is pleased to have him join our team as the Office Manager of our Greenbelt location.
One of the sub-specialties in which Dr. Cort has been trained and finds tremendous pleasure, is in the treatment of patients with chronic pain. He was trained and certified by Myopain Seminars, the premier authority on myofascial trigger point pain. Through the use of Dry Needling, he has brought relief to a number of patients who had been suffering in silence with chronic pain.
Another sub-specialty in which he was trained is in the treatment of injured workers. He skillfully uses chronic pain techniques to resolve worker compensation cases, return the injured worker to his/her pre-injury state while significantly decreasing the number of days off of work.
Dr. Cort finds relaxation in spending time with family, including his two grandchildren Isaiah and Kennedy, friends and a large church family.
