Physical Therapist
Mrs. Jennifer Gordon, MSPT, CLT, earned concurrent bachelors and masters degrees in science/physical therapy from College Misericordia in 1998. She has 15 years of clinical experience in general orthopedic physical therapy with a passion for treating the cancer survivor.
In 2009, Jennifer completed her certification as a lymphedema therapist (CLT) and was published in the American Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2011.
Jennifer has spent 3 years treating the industrial athlete, including creating individualized work hardening programs and performing functional capacity evaluations (FCEs). She also has several years of experience in aquatic therapy.
Jennifer and the dedicated staff at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center offer patients a personal approach to functional recovery, utilizing mechanical diagnosis and evidence-based treatment to achieve maximal patient outcomes in a friendly, upbeat, and caring atmosphere.
Billy Nebel, Bowie office Manager, joined PTSMC in March 2014. She is also the receptionist of the Bowie location.
Mrs. Nebel has over 20 years of experience in the medical field and in efficiently handling the daily runnings of a PT office.

Billy is originally from Texas and is married to Ronald. They have 2 children. Billy enjoys spending her free time with her family. She also enjoys reading and gardening.
Physical Therapist
Maureen Maier has a Masters in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University. After graduate school, she continued her studies and completed the OMPT certification to become an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist.
She went on to pursue her interest in ergonomics and received her CEAS Specialist Certification in Ergonomics. She is also a Certified Running Coach through the Road Runners Club of America.
She is able to treat a wide variety of conditions related to orthopedic, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
Maureen is trained in the following techniques: IASTM/Instrumented Soft Tissue Massage, Mulligan’s Movement with Mobilization/MWM, Barnes’ Myofascial release/MFR, Cranial-Sacral Release, Advanced Strain-Counter-Strain/SCS, Muscle Energy Techniques/MET, Neural Tissue Tension/NTT, Spinal Stabilization, Visceral Mobilization, Integrative Manual Therapy/IMT, Kinesio-taping and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation/PNF.
Maureen utilizes a holistic approach that blends together the best treatment options to help her patients achieve their goals.
