About Emilia Kubera-Shelton

Emilia Kubera-Shelton is a well-experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy with a passion for outpatient care at the Bowie location of Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center. She started her career at UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.

Emilia has treated patients ages 5 to 95, utilizing the McKenzie Method and her advanced manual therapy skills to do so. She is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with a special interest in impairments of the foot, ankle, spine, and shoulders and has provided care for patients with a multitude of diagnoses including neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions.

Her expertise also includes a focus on orthopedic conditions, debility, rehabilitation after surgeries as well as balance disorders, fall prevention, and chronic conditions.

Outside of treating patients, Emilia loves teaching students and is a certified clinical instructor. She really loves her job and is looking forward to making long-lasting relationships with patients as well.
